The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature then concentrated under vacuum. The residual was applied onto a silica gel column and eluted with acetone/dichloromethane 0-100%. This resulted in 0.28 g (24.4%) of: (trans-4-{[l-(5-formylpyridin-2-yl)piperidin-4-yl]oxy}cyclohexyl)acetic acid as a white solid. LC-MS (ES, m/z): Ci9H26N204: 346; Found: 347 [M+H]+.
