Synthetic Route of C6H4N2In 2021, Rahman, Taskia;Borah, Geetika;Gogoi, Pradip K. published 《Activated Mont K10-Carbon supported Fe2O3: A versatile catalyst for hydration of nitriles to amides and reduction of nitro compounds to amines in aqueous media》. 《Journal of Chemical Sciences (Berlin, Germany)》published the findings. The article contains the following contents:

The iron oxide was successfully supported on activated clay/carbon through an exptl. viable protocol for both hydration of nitriles RCN (R = Ph, pyridin-4-yl, 4-bromophenyl, etc.) to RC(O)NH2 to amides and reduction of nitro compounds R1NO2 (R1 = Ph, 3-nitrophenyl, 2-trifluoromethyl-4-nitrophenyl, etc.) to amines R1NH2. The as-prepared catalyst has been extensively characterized by XPS, SEM-EDX, TEM, TGA, BET surface area measurements and powd. X-ray diffraction (PXRD). A wide variety of substrates could be converted to the desired products with good to excellent yields by using water as a green solvent for both the reactions. The catalyst was recyclable and reusable up to six consecutive cycles without compromising its catalytic proficiency. And 3-Cyanopyridine (cas: 100-54-9) was used in the research process.

The three Cu(I) complexes [Cu(POP)(NN̂)]PF6, NN̂ = 2-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)-5-(p-tolylethynyl)pyridine (P1), 2-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)-5-((4-methoxyphenyl)ethynyl)pyridine (P2), 4-((6-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)pyridin-3-yl)ethynyl)-N,N-diphenylaniline (P3), were prepared and characterized. The different electron-donating groups such as methylphenyl, methoxyphenyl, and diphenylamine substituents were functionalized onto the pyridine ring part of the diimine ligands through an acetylide linker to enhance the light-absorption abilities, giving the larger light-absorption ability and red-shifted absorption bands for the investigated Cu(I) complexes. Chai, Chaoyang;Xu, Shengxian;Wang, Jinglan;Zhao, Feng;Xia, Hongying;Wang, Yibo research published 《 Synthesis, photophysical properties and DFT studies of the pyridine-imidazole (PyIm) Cu(I) complexes: Impact of the pyridine ring functionalized by different substituents》, the research content is summarized as follows. The pyridine-imidazole (PyIm) Cu(I) complexes [((Ph2PC6H4)2O)Cu(C3H3N2C5H3N-R-5)]PF6 with different substituents (bromide (P1), Me (P2) and Ph (P3)) attached on the pyridine ring were synthesized and characterized. All the complexes show the typical metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) absorption in the visible region. Complex P1 with an electron-withdrawing substituent on the pyridine ring, a Br group, shows a red shift of the emission wavelength compared to the unsubstituted complex. Conversely, an electron-donating substituent on the pyridine ring in complex P2, a Me group, shifts the emission to shorter wavelength. Complex P3 containing the extended π-conjugation system of the ligand also exhibits a red shift of the emission wavelength. All of the complexes exhibit efficient green-yellow emission in PMMA films at room temperature with emission wavelength of 547-569 nm and quantum yields of 24.8-53.0%. Meanwhile, DFT and TDDFT methods were employed to explain the photophys. properties.

Synthetic Route of 31181-90-5, 5-Bromopyridine-2-carbaldehyde is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C6H4BrNO and its molecular weight is 186.01 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
