Then, the reaction mixture was cooled to RT and poured on ice-waterto give a off white precipitate; which was purified by column chromatography (Silica gel 100-200mesh) using 40% EtOAc in petroleum ether as an eluent to give 5-fluoro-2- morpholinopyridin-4-amine (720mg, 57.14% yield) as an off-white solid. LC- MS: m/z 198.0 (M+ H).
