The product of the previous step (1.4 g, 10.2 mmol) and N,N’-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (6.2 g, 30.0 mmol) were added to a mixture of DMSO (22 ml) & anhydrous H3PO4 (0.45 g) and the reaction was left to stir 1.5 hours.
