The reaction progress is followed by CCM and stopped after 30 mm. 100 mE of a saturated solution of NaHCO4 are added and the organic phase is washed with water (up to pH=7) and brine. The organic solution is then dried on Na2SO4 and evaporated to give 2 g of a yellow oil of compound 14 used without thrther purification (quantitative yield). ?H-NMR (300 MHz, CDC13) oe (ppm)=8.1 (s, 1H),7.68 (s, 1H), 5.40 (s, 2H), 4.01 (s, 3H), 3.17 (s, 3H).
