The organic layer was washed with brine, dried Na2S04) and concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain N-(4-(3-fluoro-4- hydroxyphenyl)pyridin-2-yl)acetamide (200 mg, 0.812 mmol, 85% yield) as a tan solid. LCMS (ESI) m/e 247.0 [(M+H)+, calcd C13H12F1N2O2, 247.1]; LC/MS retention time (method A): /R = 1.51 min.
