A mixture of benzylbromide (3.24g, 18.97mmol), 6-bromopyridin-3-ol (3g, 17.24mmol) and cesium carbonate (8.43 g, 25.90 mmol) in dry acetonitrile (50 mL) was stirred overnight at room temperature.
