2-amino-5-fluoro-6-methylpyridine (0.559 mmol) and methyl 3-chloro-l-methyl-4-[[(li?)-2,2,2- trifluoro-l-methyl-ethyl]sulfamoyl]pyrrole-2-carboxylate (150 mg, 0.43 mmol) were dissolved in THF (10 mL). Lithium bis(trimethylsilyl)amide (1 M in THF) (1.29 mL, 1 M, 1.29 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred overnight. The reaction mixture was quenched with sat.NH4Cl (aq) (5 mL). The aqueous layer was extracted with CH2C12 (2 X 5 mL). The combined organic layers were evaporated to dryness and the residue was purified on silica using a heptane to EtOAc gradient. The obtained product was crystallized from CH2C12, triturated with diisopropylether and dried, resulting in compound 7 (83 mg) as a white powder.
