A series of new pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-3-yl pyrimidine derivatives I [R = 2-thiophenyl, 3-fluorothiophen-2-yl, 5-methylpyridin-3-yl; R1 = Me, Et, i-Pr; R2 = Me, Et] were synthesized and evaluated for the activation of sGC.
