Aryllithium reagents underwent one-pot regioselective addition and rearrangement reactions with cyclic α,β-unsaturated ketones and an acyclic diaryl-α,β,γ,δ-dienone in the presence of FeCl2 to yield cyclic secondary β-arylallylic alcs.
