The organic layer was dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, concentrated under reduced pressure to crude product, The crude was purified by flash chromatography using 20-25% EtOAc in hexane as an eluent to give 6-morpholinonicotinaldehyde. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta ppm 3.66 (s, 8H), 6.92 (d, J=9.2 Hz, 1H), 7.87-7.89 (m, 2H), 9.73 (s, 1H).
