Suspended in hexanes, sonicating to break up large particles. Sonicated for 20 min. Filtered and collected bright yellow solid that was pure desired product: 2-chloro-6-methyl-N-[2-(methyloxy)ethyl]-3-nitro-4- pyridinamine (466 mg, 1.897 mmol, 39.3 % yield). MS (m/z): 246.1 (M+H)+.
