To a stirred suspension of sodium hydride (60% in mineral oil, 85 mg, 2.14 mmol) in DMF (4 mL) was added, dropwise, ethyleneglycol mono t-butyl ether (278 mg, 2.35 mmol). the reaction mixture was stirred for 25 min. The residue was purified by column chromatography using 0-50% EtOAc/Hexanes to provide compound Villa (260 mg).
