INTERMEDIATE 1N-(5-Bromopyridin-2-yl)-2-[2-(difluoromethoxy)phenyllacetohydrazideTo a stirred solution of 2-(difluoromethoxy)phenylacetic acid (3.0 g, 14.85 mmol) in DCM (10 mL) at 0C was added triethylamine (4.4 g, 44.5 mmol), followed by EDCI (3.4 g, 21.90 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at 0C for 30 minutes. 5-Bromo-2- hydrazinopyridine (3.07 g, 16.4 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 h, then diluted with DCM. The organic layer was washed with H20 and brine, then concentrated in vacuo.
