EXAMPLE 4 5-Methyl-1-p-tolyl-2-(1H)-pyridone The reaction of p-iodotoluene with 5-methyl-2-(1H)-pyridone by the reaction of Example 1, affords 5-Methyl-1-p-tolyl-2-(1H)-pyridone in 89% yield.
