The precipitated solid is collected by filtration, washed with toluene, and partitioned between EtOAc (200 mL) and water (100 mL). The mixture is neutralized to pH=7-8 with solid NaHCO3. The EtOAc layer is dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and evaporated in vacuo to give the title compound as a light brown solid. MS: 171.94 (M+H).
