The precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with MeOH to afford 6-bromo-3-iodo-7-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (6 g, 41%) as a light grey solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta 8.30 (s, 1H), 7.64 (s, 1H) 7.49 (s, 1H) 2.50 (s, 3H); MS (ESI) m/z 336.7 [M+H]+.
