The mixture is stirred for about 15 minutes before benzylchloride 3a4 (75 mg, 0.14 mmol) is added. The mixture is stirred at RT overnight. Methanol (0.5 mL) and LiOH (60 mg, 1.4 mmol) are added and the mixture is further stirred at RT overnight. The mixture is acidified with AcOH and purified by preparative HPLC to isolate compound 1058.
