A facile and convenient ultrasonic-assisted method for the synthesis of 2-sulfonyl nitrogen heterocyclics has been developed. Using bromo-tris-pyrrolidino-phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (PyBroP) as catalyst, the reactions were carried out under ultrasound irradiation condition at room temperature for 1.0 h, and the 2-sulfonyl nitrogen heterocyclics were obtained in good yields with nitrogen heterocyclic N-oxides and sulfinic acid as raw materials. The reaction has the advantages of good substrate suitability, short reaction times and high yields, which provides a efficient approach for the synthesis of 2-sulfonyl nitrogen heterocyclics and their derivatives

The effects of bath composition on the internal stress of palladium electrodeposits are studied in neutral media with Pd(NH3)2Cl2, K3C6H5O7, (NH4)2C2O4 and the additives of the mixture of the synthesized products of nicotinic acid and nicotiamide (NANA), pyridine-3-sulfonic acid (PSA), α-furan formic acid (FF) and cetyl tri-Me ammonium bromide (CTMAB). The internal stress of electrodeposits is quite changeable at the beginning of electrodeposition, later becoming stable gradually. Deposits obtained from pulse electrodeposition have lower stress than that from d.c. After electrodeposition, all the deposits keep the tensile stress which increases with time.

In addition, complexes 1 and 6 were further identified by single crystal X-ray crystallog., revealing a highly distorted octahedral configuration of the Ru coordination sphere. All of these complexes are highly active toward CeIV-driven (CeIV = Ce(NH4)2(NO3)6) water oxidation with oxygen evolution rates up to 119 mols of O2 per mol of catalyst per s. Their structure-activity relationship was investigated. Electron-withdrawing and noncovalent interactions (attraction) exhibit pos. effect on the catalytic activity of Ru-bda catalysts.

Recently, we developed two facile strategies to accelerate O-O coupling via introducing the electrostatic interaction into Ru(bda)-catalyzed systems. In this work, a series of Ru(bda) complexes with different charged groups on different positions were synthesized to demonstrate the general applicability of these design strategies. It found these catalytic systems with attractive electrostatic interaction display much better activity, and the position of the charged substituents also has a significant influence on the catalytic activity.

Then the corrosion resistance of the gold plated film was evaluated by physicochem. methods. By the synergistic effect, the bath containing 2,3-diaminopyridine (23 DAmPy) produced both lower film porosity and higher gold deposition efficiency. These properties are due to the moderate phys. adsorption of 23-DAmPy, whose structure is susceptible to cation, under pulse-current plating. In any event, the synergistic effect appears in pulse-current plating in the bath containing organic additive.
