The reaction was complete, and the mixture was filtered and concentrated. The crude product was separated by silica gel column chromatography (DCM:PE=20:1) to obtain compound methyl 2-chloro-5-((3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)ethynyl)isonicotinate (22 g, yield: 55%). MS (ESI): m/z 332.1 [M+1]+.
