A solution of ethyl 3-amino-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (1.55 g, 0.01 mol), 5-fluoro-2- (trifluoromethyl)pyridine (1.65 g, 0.01 mol), C52CO3(4.89 g, 0.015 mol) in DMF (8 mL) was stirred for 1 hour at 100 C. The mixture was diluted with water, extracted with EA (x3). The organic layers were combined and washed with brine (x2), dried, concentrated.
