After three cycles of vacuum/argon flush, the mixture was heated at 100 C. overnight. It was then filtered and the filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica-gel column chromatography eluting with 1:50 methanol/dichloromethane to afford 121a as an orange solid (290 mg, 66%). MS-ESI: [M+H]+385.1

The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (3.01 g). 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) delta 4.47 (2H, s), 7.13 (1H, d, J=1.8 Hz), 7.22-7.39 (3H, m), 7.39-7.47 (2H, m), 7.59 (1H, d, J=1.1 Hz), 7.93 (1H, d, J=1.2 Hz), 8.64 (1H, d, J=1.9 Hz).
