The crude product was recrystallized to give the ketone 156 as white crystals (1.61 g, 99%): mp (EtOAc) 50-51 C; 1H NMR (CDCl3) delta 7.68 (s, 2 H, H- 3′, H-5′), 2.61 (s, 3 H, H-2); MS m/z 190.4, 192.4 (MH+, 100, 70%).
