Synthesis of 2-chloro-6-methoxy-pyridine-4-carbonitrile 25F A solution of compound 24 (2.0 g, 1 1.6 mmol) in methanol (20 mL) was added with sodium methoxyde (628 mg, 1 mol eq) and the mixture was heated at 60C for 6h. The reaction was cooled, evaporated to dryness and then water was added (300 mL). The aqueous phase was extracted with EtOAc (3×25 mL) and the recombined organic phases were dried over sodium sulfate and evaporated under reduced pressure to afford 25F as transparent viscous oil (1.95g, quantitative yield).
