This product was crystallized from cold petroleum ether to afford the title compound as a colorless powder (223 g). 1H NMR (200 MHz, CDCl3) delta 6.68 (1H, d, J=8.7 Hz), 6.60 (1H, d, J=8.7 Hz), 3.91 (3H, s). 13C NMR (50 MHz, CDCl3) delta 162.01, 143.29, 139.68, 113.69, 111.10, 54.40 LRMS (EI+): 264[M+]
