To a mixture of compound B-141 (8.0 g, 49 mmol) in anhydrous tetrahydrofuran (80 mL) was added DIBAL-H (98 mL, 1 M in hexane) dropwise at -78 C. The mixture was stirred at -78 C for 2 hours until TLC showed the reaction was complete. The reaction was quenched with 50 mL of aqueous saturated ammonium chloride solution at 0 C and filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give compound B-142 (5.7 g, crude) as a brown oil.
