The reaction was heated to reflux for 5 h and cooled.The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure to give a crude product.A solution of morpholine (0.50 mol) in ethanol was added to the crude product of the previous step under nitrogen and stirred at room temperature overnight.The solvent was removed under reduced pressure.The crude product was purified by column chromatography to give 4-(4-bromo-2-fluorophenyl)morpholine.
