To a solution of compound 221.4 (l . lg, 7.2mmol, l .Oeq) in dimethylformamide (20mL) at 0C, sodium hydride (0.5mL, 10.8mmol, 1.5eq) was added. Reaction mixture was stirred at 0C for 20min. Then, ethyl iodide (1.6mL, 10.8mmol, 1.5eq) was added. Reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3h. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was transferred into water to obtain the precipitate which was filtered, washed with water and dried well under vacuum to obtain 221.5.
