A mixture of 4-chloro-3-formyl-2-methoxypyridine (0.43 g, 2.51 mmol), 4- Boc-aminopiperidine (0.7 g, 3.5 mmol), and DIEA (1.0 mL, 2.5 eq.) in ACN (14 mL) was stirred at 100 C for 40 min.
