To a mixed solution of 300 mg of 1- [3- (ethylsulfonyl) -6-iodoimidazo [1,2-a] pyridin-2-yl] ethan-1-one and 5 ml of dimethylsulfoxide was added 48 mass% 1 ml of hydrochloric acid was added.After completion of the addition, the reaction mixture was stirred at 80 C. for 2 hours. After completion of the reaction, 10 ml of water was added to the reaction mixture at room temperature. After completion of the addition, sodium hydrogencarbonate was added to the reaction mixture for neutralization, followed by extraction with ethyl acetate (20 ml × 2).The obtained organic layer was dehydrated with anhydrous sodium sulfate and dried, and then the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure. The precipitated solid was filtered off by filtration.The resulting solid was washed with diisopropyl ether to give the desired product 3- [3- (ethylsulfonyl) -6-iodoimidazo [1,2-a] pyridin-2-yl] – 7 – (trifluoromethyl ) Pyrido [2,3-b] pyrazine as a yellow solid.
